Dr. Blanchard explains how empathy has been lost in the traditional healthcare system. Doctors are overworked and fatigued creating a large barrier with their patients. SALTA takes the care back into the doctor’s hands and allows more time and access to give our patients the most accessible and exceptional healthcare at the most affordable cost. #saltadpcworksforme

Hello everybody! Dr. Blanchard here from SALTA Direct Primary care, as you can see I am in my car. I just want to take a minute to talk about something that I think is very important about healthcare. When I talk to patients they tell me, “I just want my doctor to hear me, I just want my doctor to listen to me.” So I have been thinking about this I am currently on the road today because I am going to the hospital to see one of my patients there and then this afternoon after I am done in the office I am going to give a couple flu shots to an elderly couple because they are afraid to leave the house because of COVID. Then I am going to see someone who is homebound. It occurred to me that doctors have done this for hundreds of years. They went to their patients where they needed them, when they needed them. When patients say they want us to hear them, they want us to have empathy for them. When they are in the hospital, when they are home, when they are scared, when they are ill, when they cannot get out of the house to see us…we need to be there for them. We need to understand how they feel being in those types of situations and understand the care that they need. I think what I am so thankful for, and what I am so blessed about, is that our model in direct primary allows me the privilege of going and seeing my patients where they need me, when they need to see me. It allows me to have that love and empathy for my patients in order to do that.

I just want to say thank you for all our patients that pay our subscription fee! We love and appreciate you!
